Less than a month into his presidency, President Donald Trump held a campaign-style rally in central Florida Saturday, hoping to reconnect with supporters. The event was sponsored by the Trump campaign, not the White House.
Vice President Mike Pence is calling America's commitment to NATO unwavering. Speaking at the Munich Security Conference during his first trip overseas, Pence told diplomats that America is devoted to NATO, but said alliance members must contribute more.
Tens of thousands of protesters marched in Barcelona Saturday, demanding Spain's conservative-led government to take in more refugees from Syria and other war-torn nations. Spain has accepted only 1100 of the 17,000 refugees it pledged to take in a two-year period.
Hundreds of Venezuelans took to the streets in Caracas Saturday to demand the release of opposition leader Leopoldo Lopez, who has been jailed in a military prison for the past three years. President Trump called on the Venezuelan government to release Lopez following a meeting with the activist's wife this week, a message that was then echoed by the US State Department.
