The National Meteorological Center on Monday morning issued a yellow alert warning that heavy snow would sweep across northern and central parts of the country from Monday through Wednesday. Temperatures in some areas in northern and western China are expected to drop by over eight degrees Celsius in the next three days.
In the following three days, in portions of eastern Northwest China, North China, Northeast China, Huang-Huai River, and central and northern Yangtze-Han River, moderate to heavy snow or even snowstorm (20~25 mm)is forecasted.
From 20 to 22 February, affected by the currently strong cold air, in portions of Xinjiang, eastern Northwest China, eastern Southwest China, central and southern North China, Huang-Huai River, Yangze River and Huai River, Yangtze-Han River, the South of the Yangtze River, northern South China, the temperature is expected to drop by more than 8℃ or even 12℃.
